We are backed by extensive experience in the development of studies to classify underground and surface bodies of water. We have worked with both leading Public Administrations, and the private sector.<\/p>\n

Surface and underground fresh water is subjected to numerous and varied sources of pressure that place its proper condition at risk. Urban and\/or industrial effluents and overexploitation of water resources are the most significant of these.<\/p>\n

Directive 2000\/60\/EC(4), the Water Framework Directive (WFD), as well as implementation into the Spanish legal framework (Royal Decree-Law 1\/2001(5)) meant a change in environmental protections. The Directive makes each member state responsible for protecting the environment, as well as setting and monitoring environmental quality levels for all bodies of water. All established priority and hazardous substances must meet these environmental quality levels, while others are being studied.<\/p>\n

The WFDs main purpose is to obtain and maintain the proper Ecological and Chemical State of surface water<\/strong>, and the proper Quantitative and Chemical State of underground bodies of water.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Laboratorio de Gesti\u00f3n Ambiental is a Water Administration ollaborating ntity (ECAH) and accredited as a test laboratory, for which reason it can analyse all priority substances. In addition to supporting the water administration by completing water status monitoring programmes, it also carries out the following activities:<\/p>\n

  • Water quality control and monitoring. <\/li>\n
  • List I and List II hazardous substance control and monitoring, as well as for the priority substances indicated in the Water Framework Directive. <\/li>\n
  • Toxicological, microbiological, and physical-chemical water classification. <\/li>\n
  • Pool water control, as well as other recreational and bathing water. <\/li>\n
  • Reclaimed water control, promoting the implementation of the circular economy. <\/li>\n
  • Measuring temperature profiles, pH, dissolved oxygen, and others with parametric probes (in rivers, lakes, reservoirs, etc.). <\/li>\n
  • Classification of water for irrigation purposes. <\/li>\n
  • Piezometric elevation measurement campaigns. <\/li>\n
  • Measuring flows in rivers and springs. <\/li>\n
  • Bathymetric studies on lakes and reservoirs. <\/li>\n
  • Studies on mixing zones and effluent conditions in receiving environments. <\/li>\n
  • Underground and surface water analysis to evaluate the chemical state and comply with Environmental Quality Standards. <\/li>\n
  • Studies on aquatic environment conditions based on human, animal, or industrial activity. <\/li>\n
  • Using chemical state control network control and monitoring programmes through technical assistance units for Administrations and industry. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>
